Releasing Stored Secondhand Smoke

If you’ve ever been exposed to secondhand smoke, the thought has probably crossed your mind: how might this impact my health down the road?

In her most recent session, one of my clients had the opportunity to see firsthand how the smoke she was exposed to during the first 2 decades of her life was impacting her health present day.

Ahead of her appointment, she wrote to me expressing that she felt pretty good overall, minus some nagging neck pain and trouble sleeping. Based on her past sessions, I had a hunch as to what might arise as the main causes – inflammation from snacking, blue light toxicity, and dense food were all coming to mind as potentialities.

Once I began working on her, I was surprised to see her body flag secondhand smoke in muscle testing as a primary reason for her concerns. Initially, I thought she might have been exposed as a one-off incident – perhaps at a concert, or at a gathering with friends recently.

When I sent her the session recap notes, I was fascinated by her reply.

Thank you so much! Oh my….the secondhand smoke! I haven’t been around this in a very long time, but my dad smoked in the house. So, for 18 years and then visits after, I was around it and always wondered how it affected me long term. I hated it!!!!

Years worth of secondhand smoke effects stored in her body, and now at her current energy level, they were arising in muscle testing as the root cause for her neck pain and inconsistent sleeping patterns. Amazing!

Perhaps the most interesting part of this was that the purge – i.e, her body’s detox following the session – was more taxing than usual. Some coughing and increased neck pain occurred as her body was digging deep to release what had been stored for so long. When I checked in on her, I received the following texts.

Holy purge! I’m starting to feel better. I’ve avoided taking ibuprofen or anything so my body will do what’s needed.

Two days later:

I am so much better! The purge was worth the reward.

For me, the biggest learning from this experience was to put to rest any assumptions I might have about the root causes of a client’s symptoms. I never would have guessed that secondhand smoke would be at the core of her issues, but that is one of the beautiful parts of our protocol – it removes the practitioner from the equation, and leans on the client’s higher consciousness to steer the way. Her body knew exactly what was at the root of her symptoms, and brought me to clear everything associated with the smoke, in order to alleviate the issues she was dealing with.

No second guessing, no endless exploration via expensive tests or bloodwork. Just leaning on the innate wisdom of the body.

Which, as we know so well, never leads us astray.
